Now that our rafting trips have slowed down a bit we have had time to work on our sign. We didn’t really think it was a sign that would bring in business, it was designed more as a directional sign so that folks who already have a reservation to go rafting with us could find us more easily. Solar Power at Blue Heron Whitewater

This past winter Blue Heron Whitewater had some solar panels installed on one of our south facing roofs. We considered the idea of using solar hot water, but decided that since our hot water needs are both minimal and intense (we need a good bit of hot water a few times a day, a few days of the year), that a better use of the sun’s rays would be a direct conversion to electricity. Pavers and a Porch

We’ve been adding a few more final touches to our new building in the never ending quest to improve how everything works. The gravel has been removed from under the entrance and been replaced with pavers. They really finish off the entrance in a warm and welcoming way.
