Easter Egg Hunt 2012

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

On Easter Sunday we held our annual Easter Egg Hunt here at the Blue Heron Whitewater nest/base/outpost. It’s been a warm early spring with good water levels for some great whitewater rafting on the French Broad River and what better way to celebrate spring and the unfolding of a new rafting season then with a gathering of friends and family. A Guides Day Off

A Guides Day Off

What do river guides do on their day off? Why, they go rafting, canoeing and kayaking of course. Training the Trainers

Flow’s First Birthday

Flow’s First Birthday

What started out as just a normal (if there is such a thing) day of whitewater rafting on the French Broad River turned into a rescue operation for Sandy and her crew of intrepid rafters. Save the puppy!  Fortunately Flow was smart enough to know a good thing when it came floating by and got into the raft. After...
